This Genesis OPAL has been built into the deck area and provides access from the driveway to the porch. The home owner's had the deck built around the OPAL making the main living area accessible.

The residents of this home had this OPAL wheelchair lift installed to provide access to the pool area of their home. The lift is finished in our standard color and the home owners had wrought iron railings made to blend with the lift.

Garaventa Genesis OPAL model is an unenclosed vertical wheelchair lift. This type of wheelchair lift can provide access up to five feet. The OPAL is an ideal access solution for stages and porches.

Hydraulic Drive - The OPAL can be supplied with a 3 HP Hydraulic Drive with Continuous Mains Power and Auxiliary Battery Power.

Rated Load - 750lb. capacity

Platform Features

Platform Controls - rocker style directional switches with an emergency stop button
Grab Rail - used by passengers when entering or exiting the lift
Standard platform size - 34 1/8" x 48 3/4"
Manual Lowering -
- Leadscrew - a handwheel is used to lower the lift
- Hydraulic - to lower the lift a knob on the side of the mast can be pulled to open the hydraulic valve and lower the platform
Entry/Exit Configuration - Straight through entry/exit configuration

Call Stations - Rocker style switches mounted in the frame of the gate.

Gates - The OPAL requires a gate at the lower landing and allows for a choice of a door or gate at the upper landing. The gates are made of anodized aluminum extrusions with Satin Grey steel panels. The gates use mechanical interlocks at each landing.

Standard Finishes - The standard finish for the OPAL model is anodized aluminum extrusion with Satin Grey steel panels.

Hydraulic Drive - The Hydraulic Drive with full time battery operation (3 HP motor) is a quieter drive system and travels at 17 feet per minute. This systems requires 120 VAC single phase on a dedicated 15 amp circuit. The Hydraulic Drive System can be ordered in two different lifting heights, up to a maximum of 63".
